It is interesting the way that this is said about photographs, that a photograph gets taken. It is interesting that it is possible to say that Amber took the photo but that Astrid still has it.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. The picture tries to illustrate the point of 'taken'. I take a picture of her (that is exactly how I took this picture, the way it looks in the polaroid), but it is her picture also.

After reading about mise en abyme we didn't think this picture would fit, but you can see the camera in the polaroid as a mirror and suddenly the repetition becomes clear!
Great insight you have!
