Artist's Comments

"Caesarians or not, children are ruinous; you're out of your mind," said Mrs. Phelps. "I plunk the children in school nine days out of ten. I put up with them when they come home three days a month; it's not bad at all. You heave them into the ' parlour ' and turn the switch. It's like washing clothes; stuff laundry in and slam the lid." Mrs. Bowles tittered.
(R. Bradbury - Fahrenheit 451)
When Montag turns off the power of the parlour, Mildred and two friends have no other option than to talk. They argue whether to have children or not. Be like your idols: get a Caesarian section and a HD-ready babysitter.

It's very eerie and it really captures the theme of F451.

The best insults are Shakespearian insults.

Thank you very much! We were quite surprised the lightmeter of our '70's camera could do this. We planned to use the B-setting, but could take the picture with a 1s-setting.

Thank you! Glad you can see a connection with F451. Did you see the other pictures in the series (on our website)?

Fanatstic concept! I love the spookiness of the light and how the baby is positioned in the shot. Great job =D

"Bad art is more tragically beautiful than good art because it documents human failure"

A poisoned whore could do everything I can't.

Thank you very much!
We were quite surprised our '70s camera's lightmeter gave us such a great result! The batteries (the lightmeter is the only thing that needs batteries) don't exist anymore, so we are using hearing-aids batteries now! ;)
